This versatile wall system permits the easy creation of gravity retaining walls up to three feet in height (walls taller than three feet can be installed with proper engineering and the use of geosynthetic reinforcement). Stonegate Contemporary is also excellent for parapet walls, pilasters, columns, stairs, and outdoor living elements such as kitchens, fireplaces, fire pits, benches, and more. Like traditional Stonegate®, Stonegate Contemporary has three finished face unit sizes, simplifying the creation of random patterns and assuring stunning results.
Utilizing a patented pin connection method, Stonegate Contemporary is suitable for larger, structural projects, and also offers smaller freestanding wall options.
Use the vertical batter option (middle pin hole position on block top) for small freestanding applications and short, geogrid-reinforced walls. On critical engineered retaining walls with slopes or surcharges above, use the rear pin hole position on block top to provide the necessary batter for added strength and durability.
Stonegate freestanding applications should not exceed 24” above grade.
