March 28, 2023 – York Building Products recently presented a check for $25,000 to the CCST as part of our 4-year, $100,000 commitment to the school and its programs. YBP has been assisting CCST for years through financial support, equipment donation, assistance with the development of a Diesel program, and Advisory Committee involvement. Two (2) years ago, we donated a telehandler (shown in the background of the picture).
CCST provides introductory classes to juniors and seniors. All of the programs provide testing for state and national programs providing certificates of completion. YBP hired three (3) students last year from the Diesel and Electrical programs. The students come to YBP every other day from 9A to 1P.
Our donation is assisting the welding, electrical, industrial maintenance, building trades and diesel mechanic programs with purchases of equipment and tools that are not otherwise provided.
