October 17, 2022 – The Union Quarries team held a Touch-A-Truck event at Bethel Preschool and Daycare in Carlisle on Friday, Oct 14. Touch-A-Truck events are designed to allow kids to get up-close to different types of large vocational equipment (e.g., fire trucks, ambulances, dump trucks, etc.).
At this event, each group of kids would stop by our mixer trucks and our drivers would give them a brief overview of what the vehicle does, and how it performs it. We then let them sit up on the rear fender and run the controls to operate the mixer. The kids loved it!
