Stormwater Management

For three generations, York Building Products has been manufacturing crushed stone and sand to meet the strict design specifications for stream restoration, wetland mitigation, shoreline stabilization and stormwater management projects.

Restoration of wetlands– and creation of new wetlands– shield waterways from unfiltered runoff and provide an essential habitat for native plant and animal species. They can also serve as an attractive community amenity.

Porous pavement is a permeable pavement surface with an underlying stone reservoir that temporarily stores surface runoff before infiltrating it into the subsoil. For your porous pavement needs, York Materials Group has permeable pavers and porous asphalt products available for at-grade use, and a wide variety of aggregates for sub-base needs of permeable systems.
