 
The Earthstone block by York Building Products is a textured face block generated by blasting small pellets at the surface of the unit in a special machine. This "shot blasting" produces a final product that leaves the larger pieces of aggregate in place while the very fine sandy portion of the surface is taken away. The remaining larger pieces of aggregate are the foundation of the beauty and definition of the Earthstone unit.
This block design has most recently been used in a number of large schools and commercial buildings utilizing brick and other architectural face types for accent. The unit is manufactured in the same variety of sizes and shapes as our other normal weight architectural block and comes in twelve standard colors that range from light to dark to provide the architect with the greatest opportunity to create innovative and appealing structures.
Earthstone block conforms to ASTM C90 standard specification for loadbearing units and can be used as a single wythe wall or as a veneer. Like other concrete masonry units, it is fire resistant, thermally efficient, sound absorbing and offers a lifetime of beauty with very little maintenance required.
